Death of a Faery
Angie Rawlings
Faeries dance in silver nocturnal light.
How does Heaven dwell on them as they twirl on in their flight!
Bodies pressed against the wind
Uncontrollably they spin
Toward a Hell where demons shriek in delight.
See the flames of desire lick the air.
Trembling, the faeries fall into resolute despair.
In crimson pools, passions die With a melancholy cry
And devils wail their doom as they dare.
The demons' plight to learn the faeries' mystery
Has led to this moment in ancient history.
Driven downward by pure hate,
Envelopped in a dreamscape mystically.
