IT MAY BE A BAD WINTER
[This recipe was shared with us from our kindred, Byd Littledragon of DragonOak Coven, Mid Glamorgan, Wales. It has become a favorite recpie for Sabbat cakes.]
Rub flour with margarine (like you’re making biscuits). Add sugar. Add currents. Break egg into milk and water and mix it together, then add enough to make a dough. (You don’t add ALL of it, just enough till you get a thick dough).
Roll out on a floured board (flour it well!) and cut out with a small glass. Lightly grease a cast iron skillet or cooking stone.
Cook on top of stove, turning when brown/mildly burnt on bottom. Do not grease the skillet between cakes. The butter in the dough does that.
Enjoy!
