Math is a long-standing member and respected Elder within our coven. A self-described “standard run-of-the-mill 60-something-year-old,” Math blends the soul of an old-school hippie with the heart of a fam-trad Witch. He enjoys riding his motorcycle and listening to his favorite music—classic rock, Scottish/Irish Celtic tunes, and Yanni. He proudly identifies as a practicing Beatle and lifelong John Lennon fan.

Math’s interest in Witchcraft began early in life, even during his Catholic childhood when such things were viewed with suspicion. In the mid-1970s, he was drawn to Beltaine Books, a small university-district occult shop, where owners Leon and Pat became influential guides in his early spiritual path.

However, Math’s journey was far from smooth. For over twenty years, he lived amid addiction, substance use, and the outlaw biker lifestyle. These struggles took a deep toll—costing him his second marriage and leading to a dire medical warning: quit or die. Choosing life and spirit, Math returned to the beliefs that had first called to him and sought out teachers who could help him reclaim that path.

This search led him to Raven and Ash, who became his mentors, teachers, and spiritual kin. Through years of dedication and inner transformation, Math re-rooted himself in the Craft and grew into a steady, compassionate presence within our community.

In 2023, on the eve of the February Full Moon during the time of the Candlemas Sabbat, Raven, the Lady of Nemed Cuculatii, assisted by Ash as Maiden, were pleased and proud to elevate Math to the rank and position of High Priest in the tradition of the New England Covens of Traditionalist Witches. Math has long been a member of our coven and has persevered through hardship and distance and overcome all to reach this pinnacle of prestige within our tradition.
