Straighten your spine…
plant yourself firmly on the earth… and breathe deep…
Breathe from the belly…
filling your lungs…
And with each breath allow your mind and body to relax…
Relax, and release the cares of common life from your flesh…

Now turn your mind inward, and see in your vision-eye
A single star in your Inner Sky
A star about which
your Inner Cosmos turns.
Hold that image of the star
A glittering center,
shining far beyond our common
Sun and Moon and Sky.
From that pole-star of the Heart
A shining ray of Light streams out
Out and down tween Moon and Sun
To reach each one of us,
here in our Ring.

The starlight strikes through
Head and Heart and Loins
Into the Earth below;
A glittering, tingling
flow of star-born magic
That pierces down
through soil and stone
To touch the Fire of Earth below,
The glowing depth beneath us all
That sends strength in return,
The turning, rearing Serpent burns
And coils around our light.
The dark, entrancing Light of Earth
Flows deep within our flesh.

Now let us be centered
in this shaft of light
From Starry height to Stone below.
We breathe in wisdom,
love and strength…
We open ourselves to the images and
energies of our working…
Firmly centered
in our own Sacred Center.
